Actually, I was told that I was here before. The last time I was here, I stayed for a couple of months and then I left, but I don't recall anything from that time. According to some people, when you return home, you'll completely forget about this place but if you ever come back, there's a chance you'll remember everything. There doesn't seem to be any sort of guarantee or even a rhyme or reason as to why some people remember while others don't, but it kind of makes you wonder just how many times have we've actually been here? There's a possibility that we might have been here before but no one knew or remembered us so technically... we could have been here for years as well, just not continuously.

Also, thanks Shuichi for this tl;dr because Minato never bothered to ask more people about this whole "was here before" thing while he should have. It's kind of weird when people tell you that you were here even though you really have no memory of such a thing. ]
